- I have worked and as an Autism Specialist- Session Facilitator- with adults with ASD and challenging behaviour; my main role and responsibilities in this position were to deliver Vocational, Social skills and Emotional Literacy workshops on small groups and implement ecologically valid skills, at the National Autistic Society and Affinity Trust.
- I have worked with young people, at CSV Media Preston; my main role was to create programs for sexual health promotion, contraception, and psychological well-being. CSV Media is an alternative school and uses Art therapy and Psychodrama, as well as Music and Media to offer a therapeutic and educational environment for children with complex needs. The individual and group sessions were covering different topics such as body image, anger management, self-compassion, sexual health, nutrition and health, life skills, self-esteem, communication, overcoming trauma, and motivational enhancement. The qualification that I was delivering was as follows: “Interpersonal skills”, “Making progress”, “Nutritional &Health skills”, “Substance Misuse”, “Effective thinking”, Communication, Social skills.
- I have also worked in Switzerland for the Foundation “Coup de Pouce” where I offered emotional and social support for people with severe psychological and physical needs.
Bio:
I am a Chartered Clinical and Forensic Psychologist, MA in International Migration, and MSc in Clinical Sexology, D Clinical Psych equivalent, Member of British Psychological Society, APA (American Psychological Society) and HCPC.
I possess varied experience in working with children and young people in areas such as sexual education, trauma, domestic violence prevention, and CSE, and CSA and challenging behaviour.
