Hello, I am Alexandria! I qualified as a Clinical Psychologist from the University of Southampton in 2023 and now work full time with children and adolescents in the NHS. I have clinical experience across the lifespan with a range of presentations and in different settings such as community mental health teams, inpatient units, and third sector organisations. My passion is in attachment and trauma-informed practice, and I attempt to embed these values in every interaction to help people feel a sense of safety and being held in mind. The therapeutic relationship is key in whatever I’m doing, and I place importance in helping those I work with to feel validated and empowered by building compassionate and meaningful therapeutic relationships. Personal bio:
I have been working as a Clinical Psychology for almost 25 years. I can offer knowledge, acquired in different settings and age groups such as adults, older adults, children and adolescents’ mental health, paediatrics and learning disabilities. I had experience in the NHS and in private settings such as clinics, private organisations and finally built my own clinical practice. I have worked within medical teams, social services, private organizations providing mental health support and legal teams. Personal bio:
As I regularly work with trauma, I recognise the importance of self care. I am a keen hiker and particularly enjoy coastal walks and hiking in mountain ranges. In the last 5 years I have completed many challenging hikes for a range of charities. I regularly practice yoga to de-stress and I love to travel.
